Internet Marketing Guidelines - Your pathway to sucess

Here are a few guidelines to follow to help you along the path to internet success:

“    Target Your Market: you need to make sure that your company’s product or service is seen by all the “right” people. You may have all the right supplies, but if the people seeing your site do not have the demand for what you offer, it’s pretty much a wasted effort.

“    Assure Potential Customers: you have to make sure your visitors understand that buying from you and your company is a low risk for them. Make sure you back up your product or service with a guarantee of customer satisfaction.

“    Track Your Progress: you need to be able to monitor and also, from time to time, analyze how well your marketing campaign is performing. How much traffic is visiting your site? How many of those visits are actually converting to sales? Are the majority of your sales coming from new or repeat visitors? If necessary, adjust your strategy.

“    Appreciate Your Customers: even if they’re only a “one-time” buyer, any satisfied customer can help grow your business. Whether it’s by adding a testimonial to your site or referring someone they know, if you’ve made your customer happy, over time, and with several referrals from them, they can be a priceless asset for you!

“    Follow Up: statistics show that you will very rarely have someone come to your site and purchase something right away. It usually takes a potential customer about seven visits before they will buy from you. To help convince them that they need to buy from you and not your competition, go that one step beyond and follow up with interested visitors. Ask them to sign up for your Ezine or newsletter. Send them an incredible, hard to resist offer or discount to persuade them that your company will do whatever you can to have them as one of your valued customers. If someone buys from you, send them a thank you email letting them know how much you appreciate their business. Make sure that any and all questions are answered for your visitors, whether you have a list of FAQs or not.

The bottom line here is that with any marketing campaign, online or not, it’s all in the numbers. The trick, if there is one, is to not make anyone ever feel like they’re just a number. Personalized service is what will set you and your business apart from the pack.

With an international audience that the internet is able to provide, the world is literally at your fingertips. Now that you know what you need to do to find and to keep those customers, Good Luck and Go Get ‘Em!
